Starting in mid-2000, I became involved in the BSD Dæmon News community and started to post BSD-related news items and worked my way up to writing articles based on my experience with BSD. That later grew into a series of BSD and networking related articles and several book reviews.
After the summer of 2003, I started getting writer's block and later withdrew myself from being an active writer. Instead, I was given the opportunity to proofread and review working drafts of "The Complete FreeBSD, Fourth Edition" by Greg Lehey.
Since then, I have found other ways to contribute to the BSD community by maintaining several FreeBSD ports and submitting bug reports here and there.
