I can't believe it has been a bit over ten years since I graduated from high school. Every time I think about that, the more I ponder what I have or have not done since then, people that I have met, lost contact with and missed (sometimes dearly miss), and wonder how much I have grown as a person.

Since graduation, I have switched jobs three times, become more of a gadget freak, become a bit more bitter and jaded with life, and seem to have become more withdrawn from the world.

My music tastes have changed a bit and tend to listen to songs that make me remember those that I have missed and allow me to slip deeper into depression; but, I then swing to the other extreme and like watching comedy skits and listen to NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! to jump out of my pit of despair.

I have known to be both a slacker, a dedicated worker and a walking encyclopedia (which I still reject and despise when someone calls me one). My sense of humor has gone from being a joke and has become a platform for laying out non-sequitors and puns galore.

Once I was a strong Microsoft supporter and now an avid Open Source advocate with a hint of dislike for Microsoft.

What a journey the past ten years have been, which seems to have flashed by at times and felt like an eternity the rest of the time.

I can't say that I look forward to the next ten years, but I can say that I wish I could have changed the past somehow.
